The City of Spokane is a great destination for a golfer. You can drive, chip and putt to your heart’s content at one of four courses without even leaving the city.

The Fairways at West Terrace, just outside of Downtown Spokane, opened in 1987. The course has hosted numerous professional and collegiate tournaments, yet still offers affordable rates to play, including a twilight special after 4:00pm. Par for the course is 72.

The Creek at Qualchan is the most recent addition to Spokane’s courses. It is set in an area of natural beauty, with both open and secluded holes. Numerous ponds and a lovely creek add a dynamic accent. Par for the course is 72.

Downriver and Esmeralda are two golf courses that will appeal to players of varied skill levels. Downriver, built in 1916, adjoins both the majestic Spokane River and Riverside State Park. Esmeralda, located in northeast Spokane, is a laid out in a way that won’t overwhelm beginning golfers but demands a strong performance to break the par of 70.

Spokane’s most famous course, Indian Canyon, was built in 1935. Its location, on the wall of a canyon at Spokane’s west entrance, is only the beginning of its appeal. The designer of Indian Canyon, H. Chandler Egan, designed numerous other Northwest golf courses, including the West Seattle Golf Club course and Eastmoreland Golf Course in Portland. In 1929 he partnered with Alister MacKenzie to renovate Pebble Beach Golf Links. Golf Digest rated Indian Canyon among the top 25 public golf courses in the United States. The challenging course has hosted multiple important tournaments over the years and currently was the site for the 2009 Rosauers Open.

Whichever course you choose to golf at during your stay with us, we hope that you’ll enjoy all 18 holes.
